Elkie has always loved getting active outdoors and has been running competitively for over a decade, recently at county level. Elkie has completed races on all terrains from 5km (17min 51sec) to marathon (3hrs 23mins) plus triathlons. After starting a family Elkie decided to turn running into her career, leaving an office job in the charity sector and starting Run with Elkie in 2015.
Elkie’s approach to training is to set goals collaboratively with clients and achieve these through varied, challenging and fun sessions. Elkie places emphasis on the importance of good technique. Elkie is an England Athletics running coach, personal trainer and pre/postnatal exercise specialist. As well as undertaking running sessions and one to one coaching/personal training Elkie also coaches at Dulwich Runners AC and Crystal Palace Triathlon Club.
Andrew is a keen runner and passionate England Athletics coach. Andrew has run 6 marathons across 3 countries, 12 half marathons and lots of 10ks and 5ks too. Andrew has progressively improved his marathon time from 4:31 to 2:44 and he knows what it takes to improve over a range of distances healthily and injury free.
Andrew’s approach to coaching is focused on the overall goals of runners; many of whom lead busy lives and running is just one of their interests. Andrew takes a listening approach to ensure the coaching he offers is at the right level and gets the best results for his runners.
